Vitamin D supplements may slow prostate cancer growth | Herbal ...

Prostate cancer is a serious threat? to men, especially as they age. The American Cancer Society estimates that one out of every six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer before the end of his life. Aging men should consider taking an herbal prostate supplement, which may improve prostate health. Additionally, new research indicates that taking vitamin D supplements may be an effective means of slowing the growth of prostate tumors.

The study, led by Reinhold Vieth, Ph.D. of the University of Toronto, found that men who regularly consumed vitamin D supplements demonstrated reduced levels of Ki67, a protein associated with prostate cancer cell growth. Additionally, men taking the vitamin supplements produced a greater degree of microRNAs, cells which can fight off the development of prostate cancer.

Vieth, while optimistic, indicated that further study is needed to determine exactly how effective vitamin D is for combating prostate cancer, as well as the best means of implementing the treatment.

By taking supplements, such as an herbal prostate supplement, men may be able to increase the overall health of their prostates.

It's a very good Friday? ? Copacabana

It?s strange how things ebb and flow. I, for example, don?t really trust my emotions ? they?ve led me down irrational paths where I?m angry one minute, convinced I?m being silly the next, then alternately overjoyed and totally bummed out over the exact same set of circumstances. And so, that is why I tend to externalize things a bit and I look for signs. I?ve taken a lot of mess for this in the past, particularly from those too convinced of their own powers of perception to ever think that there?s a whole layer of life that they have no control over and that operates according to rules not influenced by their actions. And it?s with this in mind that I was reminded of a few lines from one of my CS Lewis books where the characters are instructed to look for a specific sign and follow it. One character asks if they do this, will everything be okay? And the other says, no one said that. Just that we had to look for and follow the signs because it is what we are instructed to do to make sure we?re following the right path. I like that.

Anyway, speaking of writing, I was inspired yesterday to look up one of my old creative writing professors. I loved him. He was like this beatnik poet who wrote about the Washington Monument looking like a giant Thai stick at night. Tony Grooms. I?m glad you?re still writing sir.

That?s what the NFL is banking on these next few years ? hypocrisy, basically ? as more stories emerge about the tortured lives of retired players. Many of them can?t walk, sit down or remember anything. Some battle debilitating headaches and gulp down pills like they?re peanuts. A few weeks ago, Jim McMahon confessed in an interview that his short-term memory was gone, then admitted he wouldn?t even remember the interview as he was giving it. You hear these things, you sigh, you feel remorse, you forget ? and then you go back to looking forward to the next football season. Gregg Williams crossed the line; he won?t be there. I just wish someone would decide, once and for all, where that line really is.

Children photography ? adoring and delighting

Children are the best gift of god as they are innocent, cute and lovable. People of all age group like kids and want to be around them all the time. Even if you see the pretty pictures of kids you admire them a lot. But one forgets that it is the photographer who has created such an effect that the picture appears so beautiful. If you are planning children photography for your kids then you need to contact a photographer who is able to capture amazing pictures which are full of love, emotions and feelings, only then the real effect will come out.

Children photography is a very delicate task as not all have that passion to bring out the inner feel needed in kid?s photography. As kids are never in a stable position so you cannot click still images. They are always occupied with some or the other stuff and it is tricky to get instructions followed by them.

It is very difficult to click their pictures so a better option is to capture pictures when there are busy like playing with toys or involved in some activity. Such clicks will be natural and you will love the experience to get your babies clicked in different styles.

Rather than using any background for the images, it is good that some common foreground is selected. If there is a special purpose then you can have exclusive background or else you can try some peculiar scenes which gives an awesome effect. Photographers need patience when it comes to children photography as they are mischievous and are up to some or the other prank.

Different views can be captured as these collections can be assembled together to form a creative photography collection.? Even various angles can give a unique appearance to the image thus making it impressive.

The most important need of children photography is colors. As they love colors hence photographers can incorporate all kinds of shades that add liveliness to the picture. One more thing which can be done is to click photos either during the morning time when the rising sun can form the ideal background. Even evening can be a superb time as it gives a gleaming effect which is perfect for kid?s photography. The time of the day can easily be matched with their expression so that best photo comes out. Hence various features can combine together to have excellent photography experience for children.
